I believe we’re all guided by the wisdom gained by our life experiences. I was born in the era of Flower Children and often collecting flowers, rocks, and seashells as a child and as a young mom taking my kids on nature walks. My goal every day is to discover the beauty in nature and give gratitude to God for it.
I’m a wife, mom, grandma and a trained and Certified Holistic Aromatherapist and Certified Herbalist. I m a proud professional member of The National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy, Alliance of International Aromatherapists, United Plant Savers Medicinal Plant Conservation and Airmid Institute.
I started experimenting with essential oils over 20 years ago. I always used them sparingly but questioned if I was using the right oil for the intention, safely. Filled with an unquenchable curiosity in essential oils, aromatherapy and herbalism, I successfully completed classes in biochemistry, organic chemistry, chemistry of essential oils, component blending, and currently continuing my education with the foundations of herbal medicine all instructed by the highest regard of educators in the field. More of the background education that led me to my path in aromatherapy are cosmetology, medical assisting; and taking advanced classes in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology. Always referring myself as a Lifelong student of nature, I realize there is still so much to learn.
Our brand, BrierBee is one that was a long time coming. Incidentally, I came up with it thinking that it has a nice ring to it, connecting how bees are an integral part of nature. Also, that beauty can be found anywhere including unpopular places, such as thickets which attracts bees, birds and butterflies. I later realized that Brier is my children’s names infused together. The name of our brand was truly meant to be!
I opened BrierBee to share my knowledge and passion of aromatherapy with safety being a priority. I don’t involve myself with any multi-level marketing essential oil company, as I personally don’t believe in their safety practices, testing, or misleading marketing tools. I set my standards high by gaining knowledge from world renowned vintage aromatherapy educators, alchemists, chemists, distillers, authors as well as brainstorming and being inspired by my fellow like-minded colleagues in the aromatherapy community.
I use trusted and reputable resources, as well as sustainably collected ingredients within the industry to provide the best quality products as I possibly can while striving to keep it affordable.
Every blend I craft is made in small batches; designed and prepared with the same care I use in my own family.
